Dr.Mahadev Dixit who is Senior Consultant of Cardiac science in Aster CMI Hospital after being Director Heart Foundation, Professor and HOD CVTS at JN Medical College, attached to KLE hospital Belgaum. He developed the center to make it on the busiest heart centers in the country performing more than 1500 cases annually. He is instrumental in performing more than 20000 open heart surgeries and he is one of the very few who operates on the entire spectrum of cardiac surgeries ranging from neonatal to Transplants including Minimal Access surgeries.
Dr.Mahadev Dixit has been Honored & awarded for prestigious Dr. C. S. Sadasivan Oration for the year 2009 of Association of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons of India. He has also got FIE FOUNDATION Award “2005” Ichalkarnji (Maharastra) Award for extra ordinary work in Cardio Thoracic Surgeries.He has also received Sixteen Awards from I.M.A. of Goa, Belgaum, Hubli KLE MRC, Kolhapur, Sangli for delivering oration on various Cardio Thoracic lessons and their management.
