Use
Nitroglycerin is used to treat or prevent angina pectoris, a painful symptom of ischemic heart disease caused by inadequate flow of blood and oxygen to the heart and as a potent antihypertensive agent. Nitroglycerin corrects the imbalance between the flow of oxygen and blood to the heart.
Common Side Effect
Includes Headache, Dry mouth, Dizziness, Nervousness, Flushing, Nausea, Blurred vision.
Precaution
Avoid in patient who have very serious kidney problems, severe anemia, narrow angle glaucoma or increased pressure within the eye, head trauma or overactive thyroid condition.
