Use
Sirolimus is used with other medications to prevent rejection of a kidney transplant. It works by weakening your body's immune system to help your body accept the new organ as if it were your own.
Common Side Effect
Upper respiratory tract infection, Urinary tract infection, Difficulty in breathing, Diarrhoea, Increased blood pressure, Bacterial infection, low number of red blood cells.
Precaution
It may cause an increase in blood pressure. Close monitoring of blood pressure is necessary during treatment with this medicine.
