Use
Imatinib mesylate is used to treat and prevent the growth of certain types of Cancers of the Blood cells, Stomach, Intestine, Bone marrow and Skin.
Common Side Effect
Vomiting, Diarrhea, Taste change, Muscle pain, Joint pain, Skin Rash, Stiffness, Swelling, Headache, Hair loss and rash.
Precaution
Precaution should be taken by patients having a pre-existing disorder of the stomach or the intestine and also in patients having a low level of thyroid hormone due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
