Use
Fluphenazine is used in the treatment of psychotic symptoms such as Delusions and Hallucinations.
Common Side Effect
Movement problems, Sleepiness, Depression & Increased weight.
Precaution
It should be discontinued immediately if the patient develops Neuroleptic Malignant syndrome which is characterized by an increase in the body temperature, muscle rigidity, altered consciousness & Irregular heart beats.
