ISONIAZID 150 MG
Use
Isoniazid is used for the treatment of TB (Tuberculosis) & LTB (Latent Tuberculosis).
Common Side Effect
Increased blood levels of liver enzymes, Numbness in the hands and feet, Liver inflammation, Loss of appetite, Nausea, Vomiting, Fatigue.
Precaution
People with liver dysfunction are at a higher risk for hepatitis caused by Isoniazid and may need a lower dose.
Class of Drug - Isonicotinylhydrazide (INH) Antibiotic
Routes of Administration - by Mouth, IV, IM
Biological Halflife - 0.5–1.6 Hours (Fast Acetylators), 2-5 Hours (slow Acetylators)
Excretion - Primarily Urine, Feces

RIFAMPICIN 225 MG
Use
Rifampicin is used to treat several types of bacterial infections including Tuberculosis (TB), Leprosy and Legionnaire's disease (Severe Pneumonia or Lung inflammation).
Common Side Effect
Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Loss of appetite, Muscle pain, Weakness & Skin rash.
Precaution
The most serious adverse effect is Hepato-toxicity and patients receiving it often undergo baseline and frequent liver function tests to detect early liver damage.
Class of Drug - Rifamycin Gropu Antibiotic
Routes of Administration - by Mouth, IV
Bioavailability - 90-95% (by Mouth)
Biological Halflife - 3-4 Hours
Excretion - Urine (~30%), Feces (60–65%)

ETHAMBUTOL 400 MG
Use
Ethambutol is used for the treatment of TB (Tuberculosis).
Common Side Effect
Vision problem, Joint pain, Nausea, Headaches and Feeling tired.
Precaution
It is not recommended in people with Optic Neuritis (inflammation of an Optic Nerve), significant Kidney problems & under the age of five.

PYRAZINAMIDE 750 MG
Use
Pyrazinamide is used for the treatment of TB (Tuberculosis). It is not generally recommended for the treatment of LTB (Latent Tuberculosis).
Common Side Effect
Nausea, Loss of appetite, Muscle pains, Rash, Gout, Liver toxicity & Sensitivity to sunlight.
Precaution
Pyrazinamide is not recommended in those with significant Liver disease & Porphyria.
