TELMISARTAN 40 MG
Use
Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.
Common Side Effect
Edema (swelling of arms, legs) sinus pain, congestion, headache, dizziness, nausea and allergic reactions.
Precaution
Contraindicated with medicines like Aliskiren, Digoxin, Lithium, Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Agents including Selective Cyclooxygenase-2 Inhibitors (COX-2 Inhibitors).care should be taken in diabetic patients. Avoid alcohol consumption.

HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE 12.5 MG
Use
It is a diuretic medication, used for the treatment of hypertension, congestive heart failure, symptomatic edema, diabetes insipidus, renal tubular acidosis, for the prevention of kidney stones in those who have high levels of calcium in urine and are also used in the treatment of osteoporosis.
Common Side Effect
Include headache, nausea, vomiting, photosensitivity, gout or weight gain.
Precaution
Avoid using hydrochlorothiazide, if you have liver disease, kidney disease, glaucoma, asthma, or if you are allergic to sulfa drugs or penicillin. Avoid drinking alcohol, which can increase some of the side effects of this medicine.
