AMLODIPINE 5 MG
Use
It is used in the management of hypertension and coronary artery disease (chronic stable angina, vasospastic angina).It can be used as either monotherapy or combination therapy for the management of hypertension or coronary artery disease.
Common Side Effect
Include peripheral edema, dizziness, palpitations, flushing, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, somnolence, insomnia.
Precaution
Avoid if you are in shock including shock caused by heart problems, if you have severe low blood pressure (hypotension), have liver problems or if you are taking antifungal drugs (ketoconazole or itraconazole), antibiotic drugs (rifampicin, erythromycin, clarithromycin).

ATENOLOL 50 MG
Use
Used primarily in cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, angina, acute myocardial infarction, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.
Common SIde Effect
Includes bradycardia (slow heartbeat), severe hypotension with shock, acute heart failure, hypoglycemia and bronchospastic reactions.
Precaution
Atenolol should not be withdrawn suddenly from patients with coronary heart diseases (danger of increased ischemiae). Atenolol and clonidin should not be withdrawn simultaneously.
